Our Mission

For the past 25 years, Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalp has been dedicated to serving underprivileged communities in Yerwada and surrounding areas. Through our comprehensive Women Empowerment initiative, we strive to transform women’s lives by building financial independence and self-confidence.

Mahila Bachat Gat (Self-Help Groups)

Since 2001, we have taken the initiative to establish Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to promote financial discipline among women working as domestic helpers and daily wage laborers.

Economic Foundation: What started with savings of just ₹5 has now grown into a movement of 50 active groups.
Impact: More than 10,000 women have connected with us and used their savings for education, housing, and healthcare needs.
Financial Literacy: Through these groups, women have gained valuable knowledge about effective saving practices.

Holistic Empowerment

Happiness, Travel & Exposure

We believe true empowerment comes through emotional well-being and exposure to the outside world.

Annual Happiness Camp: Every year we organize an Anand Shibir for women’s personal development and happiness.
Travel & Recreation: Women visit tourist destinations like Bangalore and Goa using their own savings, providing relaxation from daily responsibilities. Many women experienced air travel for the first time through these trips.
Exposure Visits: We organize visits to various organizations to inspire women and broaden their perspectives.

Skill Development & Health

We focus on professional skills and health to ensure holistic empowerment of women.

Health & Counseling: We organize annual health check-up camps and provide expert guidance on parenting and children’s health.
Vocational Training: Since 2018, we have trained more than 2,000 women in tailoring, bakery products, chocolate making, mehndi, and other vocational skills.
Legal Support: We provide professional legal assistance and counseling for women facing domestic or legal challenges.

Surajya Swayamsiddha Mahila Udyog Kendra is the culmination of our training initiatives, providing women with a platform to manufacture and sell quality products.
