Our 25-Year Impact (2001–2026)

Our consistent efforts have brought significant social and economic transformation in the Sevavastis.

Education Revolution: Dropout rates among slum students reduced from 60% to just 5%.
Higher Success: Graduation rates increased from 20% to 80%.
Professional Success: Our students are now excelling as IT professionals, lecturers, government officers, engineers, accountants, nurses and HR professionals.
Financial Independence: Women have become financially literate and independent through savings groups.
Entrepreneurship: Women are now successfully running their own small businesses and moving towards entrepreneurship.
Skilled Workforce: Through various training programs, residents are now securing skilled jobs and breaking the cycle of poverty.

Our 25-Year Journey of Empowering Communities

Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalp began its journey on May 1, 2001 as a small social initiative. Under the leadership of CEO Mr. Vijay Shivale and the guidance of the Swargiya Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti, the organization started by addressing immediate grassroots needs in Pune’s Yerwada area.

Today & Beyond (2026)

Celebrating 25 years in 2026, Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalp has grown from a six-slum pilot project into a broad community movement in Pune.

Reach: Active operations in 46 Sevavastis (Slums)
Presence: Yerwada, Vishrantwadi, Viman Nagar, Vadgaonsheri, Chandan Nagar, Koregaon Park, and Wagholi
Human Capital: 80 Teachers (Karyakartas) and 500 Volunteers
Core Pillars: Education, Health, Women Empowerment, Adolescent Development, and Youth Leadership

2020–2023 – Modern Education & Economic Empowerment

In recent years, we have focused on helping the community compete in modern India through educational excellence and entrepreneurship.

2021: Launch of the Competitive Exam Study Centre & Library
2022: Introduction of the Toys & Books Library for young children
2023: Establishment of the Women Business Centre to help women become entrepreneurs

2011–2019 – Sustainable Wellness & Training

This phase focused on strengthening economic and physical well-being through direct health services and vocational training.

2019: Establishment of the Women’s Training Centre and in-house Industry Center
Launch of the Health Checkup Centre (OPD) and specialized Eye Checkup Camps

2003–2010 – First Expansion

As community needs grew, our work expanded beyond basic education and micro-finance into a more holistic development model.

2003: Introduction of Health Checkup Camps and Specialized Camps for Women
Expansion into Adolescent Personality Development (Kishor-Kishori projects)
Steady growth within and beyond Yerwada

2001 – The Foundation

The journey of Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalp began on 1st May 2001 as a small social initiative. Under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Shri Vijay Shivale and the guidance of 'Swargiya Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti', we focused on addressing the basic needs of communities in the Yerwada area of Pune.

Key Milestone: The journey began with just 2 core projects across 6 slum communities.
Initial Projects: Study Guidance Centres (Abhyasika Varg) and Women’s Self-Help Groups (Mahila Bachat Gat).
