Health & Nutrition: Building a Fit and Resilient Community

Health Camp

Our Health Mission

At Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalp, we believe that if health is not good, a child cannot study properly and a woman cannot lead her family. In the crowded environment of Sevavastis, illnesses often go undiagnosed on time. Our Health Project acts as a safety shield by providing continuous medical supervision and nutritional support to our beneficiaries and their families.

Medical Camp

Quarterly Comprehensive Health Camps

Instead of conducting only one-time check-ups, we organize medical camps every three months to track the long-term health of students and women. Our medical teams provide the following services:

  • Vital Screening: Regular testing of Hemoglobin (Hb) to prevent anemia, along with recording weight, height, blood pressure, and BMI.
  • General OPD Services: Immediate treatment and consultation for common illnesses such as fever, skin allergies, and respiratory problems.
  • Medicine Distribution: Essential medicines and supplements are provided free of cost so that no one’s treatment stops due to financial difficulties.

These regular check-ups help us monitor long-term health patterns instead of depending only on one-time interventions.

Nutrition Program

Poshan Ahar Initiative: Fighting Malnutrition

The most important part of our health mission is the Poshan Ahar program. Due to a lack of proteins and vitamins in daily meals, many children in our working areas are at risk of malnutrition. To help our students become healthy, we distribute weekly nutrition kits that include the following:

  • Fresh Fruits: For essential vitamins and minerals.
  • Protein-Rich Foods: Chikki made from peanuts and jaggery, along with nutritious grains.
  • Nutrition Education: Parents are guided on how to prepare nutritious meals at low cost.

Our goal is to ensure that every child has the energy to learn and the immunity to remain healthy.

Women’s Health and Awareness

Recognizing that women are the backbone of the family, we give special attention to their health:
