Our History

Surajya Sarvangin Vikas Prakalp is a social organisation being run under aegis of Swargiya Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti in twenty three slums of Yerwada and its surrounding areas from the past fifteen years. Our aim is to develop slums like Jayprakash Nagar, Ekta Nagar, Sanjay Park,Ambedkar Nagar, Darwade Mala, ,Bhim Nagar,Khulewadi,Yashwant Nagar,Katar Wadi & Yamuna Nagar.

The organisation conducts free tuition classes for school children, Sanskar Kendra (cultural classes), health check ups, educational tours, personality development camps, and lectures on different social issues, fables and parables sessions for the children of the above slums.

Various programs for women empowerment like small savings schemes, providing self-employment opportunities and vocational training to ensure financial independence, imparting legal knowledge, and a series of other camps are conducted. The youth are given occupational training to ensure employment and educational camps are held for them where games and a lot of issues are discussed to impart positive lessons.

There are a lot of other slums in Yerwada and its surrounding area where such developmental work needs to be done on an urgent basis in order to ensure progress in the intellectual, social, financial, moral and spiritual spheres of the lives of people. At present we have been able to reach and support about 875 students and 780 women.

We believe that all these programs which are being conducted are not really sufficient .We need to conduct many more and in a much better way. With your financial support we can ensure this and also we reach out to a larger population and continue the good work.
